ABOUT RHR...
McKenna Vance; CEO
Even as a young girl, McKenna had a love for dogs and dog shows...she began showing dogs after watching her older brother learn how to show his Wheaten Terrier, and decided she wanted to join him. She was the proud owner of her first Kerry Blue Terrier at the tender age of seven years old and began showing in conformation long before eligible for junior handling. She has finished several dogs of her own and many for friends and family and always knew that dogs would play a part in her life forever. Her home now includes a Sealyham Terrier! She has enjoyed training for Barn Hunt, Obedience, Rally, Agility, Conformation, and Therapy Dog International and her dogs are certified Hospice therapy dogs. McKenna is a licensed AKC provisional junior handling judge, and mentor to many.
As a graduate from the University of Georgia Athens, with a degree in Biology, she planned to go on to Veterinary school and become a Theriogenologist, or repro Vet. After several unsuccessful attempts with admissions, she decided to work in reproduction and find a way to combine her love for dog shows with her career choice. She worked for a nationally licensed canine semen bank , and this opportunity clarified her decision that this was the career path for her. McKenna is a member of the Society for Theriogenology and continues to educate herself with all things animal reproductive.
